Laconia-----Gary O. Batstone, 52, of 1024 Meredith Center Road, died at his home on Thursday, June 28, 2007.

Mr. Batstone was born March 13, 1955 in Brockton, Mass., the son of Gerald R. and Norma L. (Payne) Batstone.  He lived in Holbrook, Mass. for a number of years before moving to Laconia in 1974.

Mr. Batstone was employed at the Hoagland Auto Body Shop in Concord, NH for twenty-five years and was recently employed at Irwin Motors.  He loved spending time with his family and vacationing in Maine and enjoyed riding his Harley and snowmobile.

Survivors include his wife of thirty-three years, Sue (Adams) Batstone, of Laconia; a son, Adam C. Batstone, of Laconia and a daughter, Erin L. Batstone,  of Concord; two brothers, Alan P. Batstone of Allentown, Penn. and Richard I. Batstone, of Belmont, N. H.; two sisters, Louise A. Malone, Hanson, Mass. and Gail M. Batstone of Laconia, N. H. and several nephews and nieces.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 2, 2007 from 5:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at 11:00AM at the Gilford Community Church, Potter Hill Road, Gilford, N. H.

Burial will follow in the family lot in Union Cemetery, Laconia, NH.
