Herbert A. Arnold

Laconia-----Herbert A. Arnold, 86, of 14 Lincoln Street, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, on Monday, June 25, 2007.  Mr. Arnold was the widower of Virginia L. Cox who died in 2002.

Mr. Arnold was born January 28, 1921 in Laconia, NH, the son of Oley A. and Gladys (Mansfield) Arnold.  He was a life long resident of Laconia and was employed as a lineman for Public Service of New Hampshire.  He served in the U. S. Army during WWII.

Mr. Arnold loved his morning coffee with all of his friends at Café Dejavu.

Survivors include a son, Daryl H. Arnold, of Laconia, N. H.; a daughter, Jerilyn L. O’Hearn, and her husband, David, of Northfield, N. H.; a grandson, Jeremy S. Bernier, of Princeton, New Jersey; two sisters, Evelyn A. Owens of Concord, N. H. and Barbara B. Maheux of Laconia, N. H. and several nephews and nieces.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Elaine Grant, in 2004.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 from 6:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, New Hampshire.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2007 at 11:00AM at the family lot in Union Cemetery, Laconia, NH
