Belmont-----Richard E. Laro, 59, died at his home on Saturday, July 25, 2009.

Mr. Laro was born September 1, 1949 in Laconia, the son of Ernest and Dorothy (Daignais) Laro.

Mr. Laro graduated from Bishop Brady High School in 1967. He attended and received degrees from N.H. College of Accounting and Commerce in 1969 and from Plymouth State College (now Plymouth State University) in 1976. He worked for the State of New Hampshire Department of Employment in the Department of Information Technology and had previously worked for Meredith Village Savings Bank for fifteen years.

Mr. Laro enjoyed working on computers, photography, music, was an avid birdwatcher, but most of all, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Mr. Laro is survived by his loving wife and soul mate of many years, Nancy (Cox) Laro, of Belmont; his children, Kristina Hale of Laconia, Beth (Hale) Oliveira of Hillsboro, Eric M. Laro of North Carolina, Bernice Bowers of California and Cheri Laro also of California; his many beloved grandchildren; his sister, Norma (Laro) Burroughs, of Manchester and his nephew, Scott Burroughs.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H.

A private family graveside service will be held.
