Frances Ethel Keith

Frances Ethel Keith, Moultonborough, NH, 76, died peacefully Saturday, July 18, 2009 at her home in Moultonborough after a battle with cancer.

She was born April 12, 1933 to Howard and Ethel Greene. She grew up on a working farm in Bar Mills Maine. At age 13 her family moved to Middleboro MA where she attended high school. After school she worked as the secretary to the president of Lakeville Hospital and then as Church Secretary of the Central United Methodist Church of Middleboro. In 1954 she married Bob Keith and together they had two children Robbin and Jonathan. While in Middleboro Fran performed with the Saints and Singers and the Middleboro Methodist Hand Bell Ringers. In 1994 the Keiths moved to Moultonborough NH where they were involved with the Over the Hill Hikers and the Loon Center and Fran was involved with the ladies guild and sang in the choir at the Federated Church of Center Sandwich. She and Bob traveled with their 5th wheeler to all 48 states and Alaska visiting hundreds of blue grass festivals and visited friends and family. She loved reading, sewing and knitting, photography, hiking, birding and wildlife.

She is pre-deceased by her son Jonathan Keith, sister Ruth Paton and brother Phil Greene and is survived by her husband of fifty five years Bob Keith, brother John Greene of Florida, sister Dorothy Davis of California, daughter Robbin Adams and her husband Peter of Campton NH, and her beloved grandson Benjamin Adams and many nephews and nieces. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to your local hospice. A service will be held at the Federated Church of Center Sandwich, Center Sandwich, NH on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 11am.
