Laconia-----Jean Cecile (Simoneau) Booska, 85, of 38 Overland Street, passed away peacefully at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Monday, July 27, 2009.
Mrs. Booska was born in Laconia on July 23, 1924, the daughter of Oscar and Jennie (Croteau) Simoneau. She lived her entire life in Laconia/Franklin area. In her early years, she was employed in restaurants, working and owning her own restaurant in Franklin. She worked at Scott & Williams for nineteen years and then worked at Franklin Brush for nine years prior to her retirement in 1986.
Survivors include her two sons, Michael F. Conway and his wife, Janice, of Hudson, N.H., William Kipreotis and his wife, Cheryl, of Franklin, N.H.; her daughter, Georgia Golionis, and her husband, Costas, of Laconia, N.H.; sisters, Germaine Provencal of Laconia, N.H., Anita Rioux, of Clearwater, Florida and Simone Chandronnait and her husband, Alfred, of Hudson, N. H.; a sister-in-law, Geraldine Simoneau, of Laconia; six grandchildren; one great grandchild and a loving extended family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Booska was predeceased by her husbands, Michael E. Conway, William Kipreotis and Percy Booska, Sr.; by a daughter, Helen Royce; by her sister, Irene Boucher and by her brother, Ray Simoneau.
We want to give special recognition to her grandson, Scott Kipreotis, who lived with her and whom she relied on in the last years of her life.
At her request, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Laconia Salvation Army, 177 Union Avenue, Laconia, N. H. 03246.
