Patricia L. Plourde

Gilmanton----Patricia L. Plourde, 80, of  113 South Road, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Thursday, July 3, 2008.

         Mrs. Plourde was born  June 10, 1928 in Laconia, NH, the daughter of  George and Elizabeth (Harris) Trendell.  She lived in Laconia for seventy years and was employed as a LPN at the Laconia State School for sixteen years, retiring in 1986. 

         Mrs. Plourde was a member and senior vice president of the Veterans of Foreign Wars #1670 and a member of the American Legion, Wilkins-Smith Post #1.  She loved her family, music, arts and crafts and was a master of all.  She loved life and loved the veterans.

Survivors include three sons, Clinton E. Crowder, Jr. of  Oregon and Paul Pike and Fred Pike, Jr. both of Belmont; two daughters, Patricia White of Gilmanton and Noel Santti of Belmont; ten grandchildren, Scott Kelley, Kevin Kelley, Joshua Crowder, Ashley Crowder, Amanda Crowder, Melissa Lemay, Gene Nadeau, Rachel Nadeau, Stevie J. White, Jr. and Colleen Benavidis; sixteen great grandchildren; a brother, George Trendell, Jr., of Alabama; three nieces and eight nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Plourde was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Kelley, by a grandson, Petie Merrill, by a sister, Ginney Lands, and by two brothers, Stanley West and Bruce Trendell.

         There will be no calling hours.

         A Graveside Service was held on Monday, July 7, 2008  at the family lot in Union Cemetery, Academy Street, Laconia, N.H.  Rev. John Davies, Community Health & Hospice Chaplain, officiated.

         In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the N. H. Veterans Home, 139 Winter Street, Tilton, N.H. 03276.
