Gilford-----Carol I. Makris, 64, of 12 Breton Road, died at her home on Wednesday, July 2, 2008.

Carol was born June 24, 1944 in Franklin, N.H., the daughter of the late Robert J. and Iola (Kelly) Lefebvre. She was a lifelong resident of the Lakes Region and had been employed at Friendly’s, Mooney Corp. and Bergen-Paterson Pipesupport Corp. 

Carol was affiliated with the Central Baptist Church in Belmont.

Carol enjoyed her family, gardening and bird watching. 

Survivors include Carol’s significant other, Bruce Nikolais, of Belmont; three daughters, Wendy L. Cruz and her husband, Robert, of Alton; Lea I. Klock and her husband, Douglas, of Meredith, Stacey A. Makris and her fiancé, Shawn Durocher, of Dover; two sons, Lee A. Bailey and his significant other, Jennifer Weeks, of Center Harbor and Bradley D. Bailey and his wife, Corina, of Belmont; eight grandchildren; one brother, Joseph R. Lefebvre, of Barnstead; two sisters, Patricia A. Horton of Bridgewater and Claire R. Lefebvre, of Laconia and several nephews and nieces.

 Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 7, 2008 from 6:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at 10:00AM at the family lot in St. John Cemetery, Rte 132, Tilton, N.H.

Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
