James "Jim" H. Lucas

Gilford-----James “Jim” H. Lucas, 48, of 400 Morrill Street, died suddenly  on July 6, 2008.

Jim was born August 7, 1959.

Jim loved, most in life, his children and family.  Jim was a gifted athlete.  He loved skiing and was a professional ski racer.  He also loved golf, surfing with his children, niece and sisters, music, photography, water sports, tennis and swimming.  He loved nature, especially birds and dogs and living in the beauty of the lakes and mountains in New Hampshire.  Jim loved life in every aspect.

Jim was a devoted and loving father of sons, James and Jared and daughter, Jett Lucas, all of Gilford.  He is also survived by his mother, Olivann Lucas of Dover, brother, John Lucas, of Mass.; sisters, Anne Lucas of Gilford and Mary Lucas of Portsmouth, a niece, Stephanie Lucas, of Gilford, nephews, John Franks of Portsmouth and Hunter Lucas of Sanbornton; his dearest friends, Billy Koucky of Traverse City, Michigan, the Signorine family of Gilford. and the family dog, Koucky.  Jim was predeceased by his father, John H. Lucas.  He will be missed by all.

Jim was a hard worker and put many, many hours into his Real Estate Appraisal Business, Mountain Lakes Appraisal.

A Service will be held for family and friends on Friday, July 11, 2008 at 2:00PM at Gunstock Mountain, Gilford, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Waterville Valley BBTS Snowboard Team, PO Box 277, Waterville Valley, NH 03214, American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Drive, Suite 110, Bedford, NH 03110, the New Hampshire Humane Society, PO Box 572, Laconia, N.H. 03247 or to Friends of Gilford Football c/o Gilford High School, 88 Alvah Wilson Road, Gilford, NH 03249.
