Ardys M. Proctor

Meredith-----Ardys M. Proctor of 153 Parade Road and formerly of Spindle Point, Meredith, N.H. and Boynton Beach, Florida, died on Thursday, January 7, 2010. Mrs. Proctor was the widow of Harold I. Proctor who died October 6, 2009. At the time of his death, they had been married sixty-seven years.

Mrs. Proctor was born in Boston, Mass. the daughter of Archibald A. and Gertrude (Jorgensen) Gray. She was raised in Belmont and Watertown, Mass. and was a graduate of Watertown High School and Boston University.

Mrs. Proctor was a physical education teacher at the Westwood (Mass.) Jr. High School for fifteen years before retiring in Dec., 1973. After Mr. Proctor’s retirement in 1974, they wintered in Boynton Beach, Florida and summered on Lake Winnipesaukee in Meredith, N. H.

Mrs. Proctor was a member of the Meredith O. E. S., the Massachusetts Retired Teachers Association and a past member of the Waukewan Golf Club. She was a volunteer at the Bethesda Memorial Hospital in Florida.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, John M. and Barbara Proctor, of Davie, Florida; a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Paul Ouellette, of Center Harbor, N.H.; five grandchildren; a nephew and two nieces. In addition to her husband and her parents, Mrs. Proctor was predeceased by a sister, Thelma Gray.

There will be no calling hours.

A private Graveside Service will be held in the spring at the family lot in Oakland Cemetery, Meredith.
