Irene A. Leroux

Laconia-----Irene A. Leroux, 90, of 30 County Drive and formerly of 7 Church Street, died at the Belknap County Nursing Home on Saturday, January 30, 2010.
Mrs. Leroux was born March 19, 1919 in Laconia, N. H., the daughter of Leodore and Mathilda (Roderick) Doyon.
Mrs. Leroux lived in Franklin for many years moving back to Laconia in 1987.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church.
Mrs. Leroux is survived by a daughter, Rita Poire, and her husband, Leon, of Gilford; two grandchildren, Michael Poire of Florida and Pamela Girardin and her husband, Steve, of Sanbornton; four great grandchildren, Christopher Poire, Amanda Poire, Tyler Girardin and Travis Girardin; one sister, Madeline Minnon, and her husband, George, of Laconia, and several nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Leroux was predeceased by her husband, George R. Leroux, in November 1987, by three brothers, Armand Doyon, Wilson Doyon and Roland Doyon and by a sister, Yvette Maheux.
A calling hour will be held on Friday, February 5, 2010 from 10:00-11:00AM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.
A Memorial Service will follow the calling hour at 11:00AM also at the Funeral Home.
Spring burial will be in the family lot in St. John Cemetery, Tilton, N.H.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, Inc., 780 North Main Street, Laconia, N. H. 03246 or to the Belknap County Nursing Home Activities Fund, 30 County Drive, Laconia, N. H. 03246.
