Lincoln G. (Link) Andrews

Fort Pierce, FL-----Lincoln G (Link) Andrews, 83, of 2400 S. Ocean Drive, Fort Pierce, Florida died at the Golden View Health Care Center, Meredith, NH on Sunday, January 31, 2010.
Mr. Andrews was born March 4, 1926 in New York City, N.Y., the son of Elmer F. and Celeste (Ehrhart) Andrews. He lived in Miami for 37 years before retiring to Fort Pierce in 1987.
Mr. Andrews was a professor and Chairman of Computer Sciences at Miami Dade Community College North Campus for twenty-five years helping to play a small but vital part in the information technology revolution. Originally a professional piano player prior to entering teaching, Mr. Andrews wrote several computer programming textbooks. Link enjoyed playing duplicate bridge and was an avid golfer from a very early age.
Mr. Andrews is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Ann of Fort Pierce, Florida; three sons and daughters-in-law. Robert & Cecile Andrews of Meredith, NH, Ronald and Jackie Andrews of Tampa and Timothy and Valerie Andrews of Concord, MA; four grandchildren, Elyse, Brett, Michael and Tyler. In addition to his parents, Mr. Andrews was predeceased by a brother, Clark Andrews.
There will be no calling hours.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on February 6, 2010 at 3:30PM at the Indian River Presbyterian Church, 2499 Virginia Ave, Fort Pierce, FL. Rev. Bryan Wenger, Associate Pastor of the Church, will officiate. The celebration will continue at their home in Ocean Village.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
