Genevieve G. (Allen) Brown

Laconia-----Genevieve G. (Allen) Brown 81 formerly life long resident of Laconia died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Friday January 22, 2010. She was the widow of Robert J. Brown who died in 1992. She had been a resident of Golden View Health Care Center, Meredith since 1998.
Mrs. Brown was born November 20, 1928 in Laconia the daughter of Raymond and Albertina (Daley) Allen. She was a dietitian at the Laconia State School and also at the Belknap County Nursing Home for many years.
Mrs. Brown was a member of the Calvary Bible Church of Meredith and a former member of the Lakeport Advent Christian Church and the Lochmere Baptist Church. She was a long time member of the Wicwas Lake Grange # 292 of Meredith Center.
Mrs. Brown was an avid Bingo player. She enjoyed working on puzzles and seeing her kids from the Moultonboro Central School.
Survivors include a son David L. Brown of Bristol; a daughter Linda K. Phelps and her husband Brian of Laconia; 5 grandchildren Michael L. Brown of Ann Arbor, Mich., Tyler J. Brown of Oxford, Mass., John R. Kercheval, Jeremy R. Kercheval and Carrie L. Gould all of Laconia; 3 great-grandchildren; a twin sister Jennie Lowe of Waterbury, VT.; 2 nieces; a nephew and a former daughter-in-law Patricia Brown of Gilford. Beside her parents and husband she was predeceased by a son Daniel Brown in 2001, a daughter Bonnie Gould in 2009 and two sisters Joyce Greenleaf and Josephine Allen.
A calling hour will be held on Monday January 25, 2010 from 10-11 AM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home & Cremation Services 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia.
A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM also at the funeral home.
Spring burial will be in the family lot in Trinity Cemetery, Holderness.
