John E. Parker Send a condolence note

Laconia-----John E. Parker, 68, of 25 Union Avenue Apt. 613, died unexpectedly at the Concord Hospital, Concord on Sunday, January 27, 2008.  Mr. Parker was the widower of Claire (Dauphin) Parker who died in 1996.

Mr. Parker was born June 22, 1939 in Quincy, Mass., the son of Leonard U. and Doris F. (Roberts) Parker.  He lived in Quincy for several years before moving to Laconia in 1970 where he owned Parker’s Janitorial Services.

Mr. Parker was a fifteen-year member of the Laconia-Gilford Lions Club and was presented the Melvin Jones Fellow Award in 2006.  He was also a member of the National Federation of the Blind for many years.

Survivors include two sons, Leonard Parker of Rhode Island and Stephen Parker of Boston, Mass.; two daughters, Heidi Fecteau and Amanda Parker; three grandchildren, Elise, Katey and Jonathan Fecteau; two brothers, Robert  Parker of Massachusetts and George W. Parker of Oklahoma; four sisters, Sylvia Coffin of Vermont, Barbara Antonelli of Washington, Judith Fisher of Connecticut and Suzanne Whiton of New Hampshire and fifteen nephews and nieces.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 from 6:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 10:30AM at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, N. H. by Rev. Gary Kosmowski, Pastor of the Church.

Spring burial will be in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Laconia-Gilford Lions Club c/o Lakes Region Scholarship Foundation, PO Box 7312, Gilford, NH 03247-7312.
