John D. Noonan Send a condolence note

 New Durham, NH-----John D. Noonan, 62, of New Durham and formerly of Alton Bay, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Saturday, January 5, 2008.

         John was born April 9, 1945 in Bakersfield, California, the son of Margaret (Turnbull) and Daniel F. Noonan, Sr.  He was raised in Ballston Spa, NY, graduated from St. Peter’s Academy in Saratoga Springs, New York and attended Bryant University in Rhode Island.

          John served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War.  At the time of his death, he was owner and operator of Jon’s Roast Beef & Deli in Laconia.

         Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth (Fennessy) Noonan of New Durham; a brother, Daniel F. (Laura) Noonan, Jr. of Ballston Spa, New York; two nephews and two nieces.

         There will be no calling hours.

         A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Augustine’s Church, 639 Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island on Friday, January 11, at 9:00 AM.  Prior to the service family and friends may gather at Robbins Funeral Home at 8:00 AM.

         Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston, Rhode Island.

         In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, PO Box 6123, Laconia, N. H. 03247.

         Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H. is in charge of the New Hampshire arrangements and the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence, Rhode Island is in charge of the arrangements in Rhode Island.
