Frank L. Jewell Send a condolence note

Laconia---Frank L. Jewell, 88, of 140 Pickerel Pond Road and Interlachen, Florida, died at Genesis Eldercare Network, Laconia Center, on Friday, January 11, 2008.

         Mr. Jewell was born February 16, 1919 in Jay, Maine the son of George S. and Jennie F. (Wiggin) Jewell and was a graduate of Colby College.  He served in the U. S. Army during WWII.

Mr. Jewell lived in Kittery, Maine while he was employed as the head accountant at the Portsmouth Navy Ship Yard for many years, retiring in 1972.  After he retired, he lived in Interlachen, Florida and for the past fourteen years he lived in New Hampshire and wintered in Florida.

         Survivors include his wife, Lois (Robie) Jewell, of Laconia; two stepsons, Michael Dubois of Belmont, N. H. and Edward Dubois, Jr. of New Hampton; a brother, John Jewell, of Interlachen, Florida and one niece.

         There will be no calling hours.

         Laconia - A Memorial Service will be held at the LifeQuest Church, 115 Court Street, Laconia, N. H. on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 11:00AM.  Pastor Rick Mowery and Associate Pastor, Rev. Bob Smith, of the Church and  Pastor Rev. Robert Lemieux, Pastor of the Free Will Baptist Church of Meredith  will officiate.

Florida - A Memorial Service will be held at the Faith Baptist Church, Tremont Street, Interlachen, Florida on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 1:00PM.  Rev. Melvin Speicher, Pastor of the Church, and Rev. Larry Litzell, former Pastor of the Church, will officiate.

         In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the LifeQuest Church, 115 Court Street, Laconia, N. H. 03246, the American Diabetes Association, Manchester, NH office, 249 Canal Street, Manchester, N. H. 03101  or the Alzheimer’s Association, N. H. Office, One Bedford Farms Drive, Suite 105, Bedford, N. H. 03110.
