M. Raymond Houle Send a condolence note

Laconia-----M. Raymond Houle, 75, of 15 Dewey Street, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Wednesday, January 2, 2008.

Mr. Houle was born June 16, 1932 in Laconia, N. H. the son of Roland and Clement (Caron) Houle.  He was raised in Laconia and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1950. 

Mr. Houle was a Staff Sgt in the U. S. Army serving from 1956 until he retired in 1978.  He returned to Laconia in 1980.

Mr. Houle was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Laconia Post 1670 and was Chaplain of the American Legion, Wilkins-
Smith Post #1.  He was also a member of the Laconia Lodge of Elks #876 and a 4th Degree of the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include two brothers, Armond Houle of Pennsylvania and Pernell Houle of Massachusetts; two sisters, Lorraine Baker of Connecticut and Bonnie Houle of Massachusetts and three nieces and five nephews, including Mike Greenwood of Webster, N. H.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Houle was predeceased by three sisters, Cleo R. Greenwood and Shirley and  Simone.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 7, 2008 from 6:00-8:00PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H.

A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Rte 3  Boscawen, N. H. on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at 11:00AM.  Burial will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Legion, Wilkins-Smith Post #1, 849 N. Main St., Laconia, N. H. 03246 or to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Laconia Post #1670, 143 Court Street, Laconia, N. H. 03246.
