Evelyn L. (Tucker) Page Williams Send a condolence note

Gilford-----Evelyn L. (Tucker) Page Williams, 81, of 245 Cotton Hill Road, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Sunday, January 13, 2008.

         Mrs. Williams was born November 17, 1926 in Alexandria, N. H., the daughter of Harold E. and Grace I. (Hoyt) Tucker.  She was raised in Alexandria and was employed at Sterling Engineering for eleven years.  She lived in Laconia for a few years before moving to Gilford sixty years ago.

         Mrs. Williams was a friend of the Sanbornton Second Baptist Church.  She enjoyed motorcycling and was secretary of the motorcycle club.  She also enjoyed sewing and was a seamstress.

         Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband, Roy Williams, of Gilford, N. H.; a daughter, Sandra E. Howe, of Winfield, Illinois; four stepchildren, Susan, Kathryn, Linda and Gary; a brother, Richard Tucker, of Sanbornton; a half-brother, Robert Tucker, of Ashland and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her first husband, Maurice W. Page, in 1999 and by a sister, Arlene Haywood.

         There will be no calling hours.

         A Graveside Service will be held in Spring at the family lot in Pine Grove Cemetery, Gilford, N. H.

         In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gilford Fire Department, 39 Cherry Valley Road, Gilford, NH 03249.
