Edmund G. Gove Send a condolence note

Nashua---- Edmund G. Gove 75, of 583 West Hollis Street #3 Nashua and a former long time resident of Laconia and Gilford died at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Friday, January 18, 2008.

Mr. Gove was born February 3, 1932 in Newport the son of Frank and Grace (Bugbee) Gove. He graduated from Towle High School, Newport in 1949. He had been a resident of Laconia for over 46 years living in Gilford for 8 years and had been a resident of Nashua since April of 2007.

Ed was employed by the Laconia Citizen for 30 years as a printer.   He was a long time member of the Laconia Congregational Church and had served as a Trustee and a Deacon. He was an Honorary Deacon and had received the Church Service Award in 2006. He was also a member of the Laconia-Gilford Lions Club and was awarded the Lions, Melvin Jones Fellow.

Ed was a member of the Belknap County Sportsman Club and was a Laconia Police Special Officer for a number of years and served on the Laconia Fire Commission.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years Gertrude (Koerner) Gove of Nashua, 2 daughters Joan Louise Marcotte of Auburn and Celia Marie Lingley of Nashua; 4 granddaughters; 2 nieces and 3 nephews. Beside his parents he was predeceased by a brother Richard Parizo.

There are no calling hours.

Services will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Laconia Congregational Church 18 Veterans Square Laconia by Rev. Dr. Warren H. Bouton, pastor of the church.

Spring burial will be in Union Cemetery, Laconia.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Laconia Congregational Church, Dorcus Fund 18 Veterans Square, Laconia, NH 03246.
