Laconia------Gordon D. Walker, 84 of 90 Bowman Street died Monday January 2, 2006 at the Lakes Region General Hospital.

Mr. Walker was born January 20, 1921 in Laconia the son of B.G. and Marjorie M. (Drake) Walker. He was a life long resident of Laconia He graduated from Laconia High School and served in the US Army Air Force during WWII.

Mr. Walker was as a plumber with the family business, B. G. Walker Plumbing Heating & Electric for many years. He was a life member of the VFW Post 1670 of Laconia as well as a life member of the American Legion Wilkins-Smith Post #1. He was a member of the Laconia Lodge of Elks #876.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years Pauline E. (Twombly) Walker of Laconia; 2 sons Gordon D. Walker, Jr. of Belmont and William R. Walker of Laconia; a daughter Catheryn Kennedy of Orlando, Fla.; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers Howard Walker and Earle Walker both of Laconia; a sister Eleanor Walker of Laconia; many nephews and nieces. Beside his parents he was predeceased by a son David L. Walker in 1988; a brother Victor Walker, Sr. and 3 sisters Dorothy Bragg, Evelyn Swain and Carol Montambeault.

There are no calling hours.

A graveside service will be held in Union Cemetery in the spring.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Gail Singer Memorial Building 360 State Rt. 101 Suite 501 Bedford, NH 03101.

The Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home & Cremation Services 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, is in charge of the arrangements.
