Laconia---Mrs. Dorothy M. Hodgson, 79 of 15 Windmill Lane, Laconia, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital Saturday January 15, 2005.

Mrs. Hodgson was born July 12, 1925 in Ballston Spa, N.Y. the daughter of Arthur and Katherine (Allan) Healey. She graduated from Ballston Spa High School and was a legal secretary in Ballston Spa.

Mrs. Hodgson had been a resident of Laconia since 1972 coming from Hawaii. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church. She was a member of the Opechee Park Club and was one of the founders of the Laconia High School Football Booster Club.

Survivors include her husband Joseph W. Hodgson of Laconia; 2 sons Michael Hodgson of Laconia and Timothy Hodgson and his fiancé Connie Moulton both of Laconia; a daughter Patricia Friend and her husband Peter of Laconia; 6 grandchildren Caitlin Friend, Chelsea Friend, Kaley Hodgson, Zachary Hodgson, Haillie Hodgson and Devon Hodgson; 2 sisters Elizabeth Hunt and Jean Crandell both of Ballston Spa, N.Y.; many nephews and nieces.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday January 18, 2005 from 6-8 PM using the Carriage House entrance of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia Wednesday January 19, 2005 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in the New Hampshire State Veteran Cemetery, Boscawen.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Friends of Laconia Football, C/O Coach Kozens, Laconia High School 345 Union Ave., Laconia, NH 03246.
