Belmont-----Sandra G. Gilbert, 66, of 29 Leavitt Road, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Friday, January 14, 2005. She was the widow of Arthur J. Gilbert, Sr. who died in 1989.
Mrs. Gilbert was born November 9, 1938 in Laconia, NH the daughter of Grace (Dion) and John Jewell, Jr. She lived in Franklin before moving to Belmont where she had lived for the last forty-five years. She was employed at the Laconia State School for nine years, retiring in 1985. Mrs. Gilbert was an avid reader and QVC Shopper.
Survivors include three sons, Arthur Gilbert, Jr. an his wife, Tina, of Belmont, NH, Paul Gilbert and his wife, Bonnie, of Franklin, NH and Dennis Gilbert of Belmont, NH; two daughters, Belinda Cotton, and her husband, Joe, of Gilmanton, NH and Donna Marcoux and her husband, Dennis, of Belmont, NH; three grandchildren, Kristi Edgerly of Laconia, NH and Ashley Cotton and Joe Cotton both of Gilmanton, NH; two brothers, Richard Jewell and John Jewell III both of Belmont, NH and many nephews and nieces.
Calling Hours will be held on Monday, January 17, 2005 from 6:00PM-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Parish, Main Street, Belmont, NH on Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at 10:00AM.
Spring burial will be in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia.
