Laconia-----Mrs. Audrey (Downing) Lacasse, 89, formerly of 69 Grant Street, died at the St. Francis Home on Monday, January 26, 2004.
Mrs. Lacasse was born July 28, 1914 in Franklin, NH, the daughter of Harry and Annie (Daley) Downing. She was employed at Scott & Williams for over thirty years where she worked in the patent research department.
Mrs. Lacasse was a member of St. James Episcopal Church.
Mrs. Lacasse had a passion for politics. She loved animals and was a great researcher.
Survivors include a daughter, Helene Gouin, of Meredith, NH; a son, Normand Lacasse, of Gilford, NH; four grandchildren, Normand Gouin, Scott Lacasse and Kevin Lacasse all of Gilford, NH and Paul Gouin of Georgia; five great grandchildren; a brother, Harry C. Downing of Nashua and a few nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry Lacasse; by a brother, Ernest Downing and by a sister, Grace Downing.
There will be no calling hours.
A Graveside Service will be held in the Spring in the family lot in Park Cemetery, Tilton, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Francis Home, 406 Court Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
