Frederick W. Parris

Belmont, N.H. ----- Frederick W. Parris, 71, of 37 Tee Dee Drive died at home on Saturday February 13, 2010.

Fred was born September 3, 1938 in Concord, Mass. and had lived in Bedford, Mass. for several years before moving to Belmont, N.H. twenty-seven years ago.

He was an electrician and had been employed by New England Power Co. for thirty-two years, retiring in 2000. After he retired he spent many hours working on and helping to develop the water system at the Lakes Region Cooperative.

Fred loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed dancing, fishing and snowmobiling.

Fred is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lois E. (Benoit) Parris, of Belmont, N.H.; two sons, Frederick Parris, Jr. of West Melbourne, Fla. and Melvin Parris of Pepperell, Mass.; two daughters, Pamela Oley and Linda Cilley both of Laconia; his mother Virginia (Ross) Parris North of Belmont; seven grandchildren, Jessica Ialuna, Joy Oley, Lacey Parris, Lois Cilley, Krystle Cilley, Brian Oley and Lee Ann Parris; four great grandchildren; a sister, Sandra Holland, of Tryon, N.C.; seven nephews, nine nieces and a cousin Doris Bowmar of Orlando, Fla. He was predeceased by his step-father Melvin North.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday February 17, 2010 from 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church, 500 Gilford Avenue, Gilford, N.H. Rev. Dr. Victoria Wood Parrish, pastor of the church, will officiate.
Burial will be in the family lot in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia, N.H.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, Inc., 780 North Main Street, Laconia, N.H. 03246.
