Marion E. Denis

Laconia-----Marion E. Denis, 82, of 30 County Drive died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Sunday, February 21, 2010. She was the widow of James E. Denis who died in 2007.

Mrs. Denis was born May 4, 1927 in Tilton. She was a lifetime resident of the Lakes Region area before becoming a resident of the Belknap County Nursing Home six years ago. She graduated from Tilton-Northfield High School in 1945.

Mrs. Denis was formerly employed at the Laconia Needle Co., Browning Labs, Vernitron and Goodwill. She was a former member of the Esther Rebekah Lodge.

Mrs. Denis is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael & Diane Patten of Utah and Laconia and James and Linda Patten of Kansas; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Tom Zajchowski, of Meredith; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren and eight nephews and nieces.

In addition to her husband and her parents, Mrs. Denis was predeceased by a brother,
Clinton H. Maxfield, and by a sister, Elizabeth Redman.

Calling hours will be held Sunday February 28, 2010 from 4-6 PM at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home & Cremation Services 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday March 1, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia, N.H.

Spring burial will be in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, N.H.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made the Belknap County Nursing Home Activities Fund, 30 County Drive, Laconia, N. H. 03246.
