Rosemary A. Wilson Send a condolence note

Laconia, New Hampshire----Rosemary A. Wilson, 85, of the Bishop Bradley Senior Living Community and formerly of 18 Burgundy Drive in Hampton died at the St. Francis Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Laconia, New Hampshire on Sunday, February 17, 2008.

         Mrs. Wilson was born January 7, 1923 in St. Petersburg, Florida the daughter of the late Roy and Mary (Lynch) Smith.

         Mrs. Wilson lived in Midland, Michigan for 40 years before moving to New Hampshire in 2003. During those years, she was active as a volunteer at the local hospital, the Council on Aging and as a substitute teacher. Her many interests included golf, travel, gardening, needlework,  boating on the Great Lakes, as well as a lifelong love of nature. Of all her interests, her family was the most important to her.

         Mrs. Wilson was a loving and devoted wife and mother who touched many lives with her gentleness, humor and indomitable spirit. She will be greatly missed.

 Survivors include her three daughters, Marylou Thompson, of Hampton, Judy Henck and her husband, Patrick, of Pendleton, Indiana and Margaret Philp and her husband, Dennis, of Akron, Ohio; five grandchildren, Kent Thompson, Suzanne Thompson, Scott Thompson and his wife, Terryann, Michael Philp and his wife, Michelle, and Susan Goetz and her husband, Eric; four great grandchildren, Victoria and Alexandria Thompson and Spencer and Connor Philp.

         A Memorial Mass was celebrated on Friday, February 22, 2008 at the St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center Chapel.  

Burial was held at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH. She was laid to rest with her late husband of 60 years, Robert B. Wilson, a U.S. Navy veteran, who predeceased her in August of 2006.

         Memorial donations may be made to the St. Francis Activity Fund, 406 Court St., Laconia, N.H. 03246 (donations will be used for Bishop Bradley Senior Living Community activities.)
