Benjamin Jay Tokarz Send a condolence note

Lee, Massachusetts------Benjamin Jay Tokarz, 26, of Lee, Massachusetts, died at the Berkshire Medical Center, Pittsfield, Mass. on Friday, February 22, 2008 as a result of an automobile accident.

         Ben was born May 9, 1981 in Laconia, N. H., the son of Stanley R. and Brenda (Griffin) Tokarz. He was raised in Laconia and graduated from Laconia High School in 1999.  He also attended Johnson & Wales University, in Providence, Rhode Island.

         Ben was a chef at the Cranwell Resort & Spa in Lenox, Massachusetts for the past six years.

         Ben was a golfer and skier and loved music and reading.

         Survivors include his father, Stanley R. Tokarz, of Laconia; his mother, Brenda Clement, and her husband, Arlyn, of Plymouth; two aunts, Patricia Barbour and her husband, Albert, of Lee, N.H. and Lorraine Foremny and her husband, Frank, of Goshen, New York and a cousin.   His brother, Michael G. Tokarz, also died as a result of the accident.

         Calling hours for Ben and his brother will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 from 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.

         A Mass of Christian Burial for Benjamin and Michael will be con-celebrated on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 1:00PM at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, N.H. by Rev. Gary Kosmowski, Pastor of the Church and Rev. Michael Griffin, a cousin and former pastor of St. Joseph Church.

Spring burial will be in the family lot in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia, N.H.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Benjamin and Michael may be made to the Lakes Region Scholarship Foundation, P. O. Box 7312, Gilford, NH 03247.
