John "Jack" F. Cassidy Send a condolence note

Belmont, N.H.-----John “Jack” F. Cassidy, 93, of 10 Leisure Lane, died at his home on Friday, February 22, 2008.

         Mr. Cassidy was born September 7, 1914 in Salem, Mass., the son of John F. and Mary (McMaster) Cassidy.

         Mr. Cassidy served in the U. S. Navy during WWII.  

         Mr. Cassidy lived in Peabody, Mass. for many years before moving to Belmont, N.H. in 1970.  He was employed as an auditor by the U. S. Government.

         Mr. Cassidy was a communicant and active member of St. Joseph Parish, Belmont, NH.  He was a member of the Holy Name Society and a former Grand Knight and District Deputy of the Knights of Columbus. 

         Mr. Cassidy was a member of  the  American Legion Post #58 of Belmont, N.H.

         Survivors include his wife of sixty-six years, Virginia “Ginny” (Ellis) Cassidy, of Belmont, N.H.; two sons, John F. Cassidy of The Villages,  Florida and James E. Cassidy of Sandown, N.H.; two daughters, Mary E. Cassidy (Sister Kathleen Therese) of Worcester, Mass. and Kathleen V. Cassidy of Danvers, Mass.; six grandchildren; several great grandchildren and a cousin, Marie Cassidy, of Peabody, Mass.

         Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 from 5:00-7:00PM at St. Joseph Parish, 96 Main St., Belmont, N.H.

         A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Parish, 96 Main Street, Belmont, N.H. on Thursday, February 28, 2008 at 10:00AM.

         Burial will be in the family lot in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem, Mass. on Friday, February 29, 2008 at 1:00PM.

         In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sisters of Notre Dame, 30 Jeffrey Neck Road, Ipswich, Mass. 01939 or to St. Joseph Parish, P.O. Box 285, Belmont, N.H. 03220.
