Duncan Selwyn Campbell Send a condolence note

Meredith – Duncan Selwyn Campbell, 84, of 23 Gould Ave, Meredith , NH, died at Genesis ElderCare in Laconia on February 26, 2008. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on November 18, 1923, Duncan was the son of Duncan B. and Etta M. (Alexander) Campbell. He was married to his wife, Hilda (Stevens) Campbell, for 60 years.

Duncan attended schools in Boston and moved with his family to NH in 1956, living in Holderness for many years before moving to Laconia. He worked as a printer at the Meredith News from 1957 to 1972 then taught Graphic Arts at the Laconia Vocational Technical College until 1985.

Duncan was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Laconia where he served as the Bishop. He was the Patriarch for the New Hampshire area churches and served a mission for the church to the Cayman Islands with his wife.

Duncan is survived by his wife, Hilda, and his children: Deborah Flanders and her husband, Robert, of Meredith, Duncan S. Campbell, Jr. and his wife, Dawn, of New Hampton and Donald R. Campbell and his wife, Elena, of Derry; 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sisters, Edna Miner, Claire Calley and Edith Turner.

Calling hours will be held at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H. on Friday, February 29, 2008 from 6-8PM

Services will be at the LDS Chapel at Old North Main Street in Laconia on Saturday March 1, at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Community Wellness Center, 22 Strafford St.,
Laconia, N. H. 03246.
