Rita A. Austin Send a condolence note

Gilmanton-----Rita A. Austin, 63, of 216 Allens Mills Road, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Monday, February 25, 2008.

Mrs. Austin was born March 27, 1944 in Belmont, N.H., the daughter of Joseph A. and Rene E. (Patten) Morin.  She lived all of her life in the Belmont/Gilmanton area.

Mrs. Austin loved her cats, her vegetable and flower gardens, fishing and camping.

Survivors include her husband of forty-six years, Gerald L. Austin, Jr. of Gilmanton; three sons, Gerald L. Austin, III of Campton and Michael J. Austin and Scott A. Austin, both of Gilmanton; a brother, Joseph Morin, Jr. of New Hampton and three sisters, Betty Bryson of Tilton, Irene “Tootsie” Voudren of Marlborough and Rose Serevia of Thornton, N.H. and several nephews and nieces.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Austin was predeceased by a son, Peter F. Austin in 1990.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2008 from 2:00-4:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H.

A Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 4:00PM also at the Funeral Home.

Spring burial will be in the family lot in the Smith Meeting House Cemetery, Gilmanton, N.H.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Hampshire Humane Society, PO Box 572, Laconia, N.H. 03247.
