Raymond A. Jacques Send a condolence note

Laconia----Raymond A. Jacques, 86, of 22 Riverside Court, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Saturday, February 2, 2008.

Mr. Jacques was born December 26, 1921 in Laconia, the son of Wilfred and Yvonne (Champagne) Jacques.  He was a lifetime resident of Laconia and was employed at Laconia Shoe Co., Inc. for many years before retiring in 1984.

Mr. Jacques was a communicant of St. Joseph Church.  He was a 4th Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus.  He enjoyed woodworking and cribbage.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-four years, Edith (Grant) Jacques, of Laconia; one son, Steven R. Jacques, of Laconia; one daughter and son-in-law, Janet and John Kimball, of Center Harbor, N.H.; two grandchildren, Christopher Kimball of San Diego, Calif. and Nicole Renee Jacques of Austin, Texas; a great grandchild, Jaeden Rivest of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Claire Morel of Gilford, N.H. and Lorraine Gagne of Belmont, N.H. and many nephews and nieces.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Jacques was predeceased by his three brothers, Reginald Jacques, Romeo Jacques and Roland Jacques.

There will be no calling hours.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 10:30AM at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church St., Laconia by Mr. Jacques’ nephew, Rev. Marc Gagne, Pastor of  Immaculate Conception Parish, Nashua, N.H.

Spring burial will be in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the N. H. Humane Society, PO Box 572, Laconia, N. H. 03247.
