Gilford-----Michael P. Robichaud, 84, formerly of 17 Ridgewood Ave., died at the Genesis ElderCare Network, Laconia Thursday February 3, 2005. He was the widowe
of Irene (Smith) Robichaud who died May 4, 2004.

Mr. Robichaud was born August 6, 1920 in Berlin, NH the son of the late George E. and Ethel (Amero) Robichaud. He graduated from Berlin High School in 1939.

Mr. Robichaud had been a resident of the Lakes Region since 1955 coming from Conway. He had been employed by Public Service Company of New Hampshire for 41 years retiring in 1982.

Mr. Robichaud was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, Laconia. He was a member of the Lakes Region Industrial Management Club in Laconia and a former member of the Eagle?s Lodge of Berlin. He was an avid golfer at the Waukewan Golf Course, Meredith. He enjoyed collecting golf balls from across the country and around the world. He also loved venturing to Nova Scotia and retracing his family's roots.

Survivors include 2 sons Roland G. and his wife Gloria Robichaud of Sanbornton and Alan J. and his wife Debbie Robichaud of Belmont; a daughter Brenda J. Carter of Laconia; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 nephews. Beside his wife and parents he was predeceased by a brother Charles Robichaud of Lewiston, Maine and a sister Carrie Provencher of Laconia.

Calling hours will be held at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia Sunday February 13, 2005 from 2-4 PM using the Carriage House entrance.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church 30 Church Street Laconia on Monday February 14 at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Gary J. Kosmowski, pastor of the church will officiate. Spring burial will be in St. Anne's Cemetery, Berlin.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in memory of Michael Robichaud to the Lakes Region Management Club POBox 787, Laconia, NH 03247-0787. A scholarship will be set up in Michael's name to be awarded to a student studying in the electrical field.
