Victor M. Lawrence

Belmont-----Victor M. Lawrence, 80, of 354 Depot Street died at home with his immediate family, per his wishes, on Saturday, December 12, 2009.

Victor was born July 6, 1929 in Canterbury, N.H., the son of Ernest and Laura May (Fletcher) Lawrence.

Victor was a graduate of Concord High School and served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He lived in Laconia, N.H. and Redonda Beach, California before moving to Belmont in 1961. All of his adult life, he was a machinist working for Scott & Williams, Samuel Eastman and Baron Machine.
Victor loved working on “old cars” with his son, Vaughn.

Victor is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Patricia L. (Cummings) Lawrence, of Belmont; two sons, Anthony Lawrence and his wife, Linda, of Apopka, Florida and Vaughn C. Lawrence of Belmont; several grandchildren including Matthew Lawrence of Apopka, Florida and several great grandchildren; one brother, Ernest Lawrence, Jr., of Gilford; four sisters, Teresa Phillips and Barbara Leonard, both of Belmont, Ina Burbank of the Belknap County Nursing Home and Sarah DeCato of Canterbury; many nephews, nieces and great friends. Victor was predeceased by his parents and by two brothers, Lauren Lawrence and Lloyd Lawrence.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2009 from 4:00-6:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.

A Graveside Service will be held in the spring at the family lot in South Road Cemetery, Belmont.
