Gilford-----Shawn S. Tuttle, 42, of 23 Saltmarsh Pond Road, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Thursday, December 18, 2008.

Shawn was born December 13, 1966 in Laconia, N.H., the son of Leslie Strout and Sheila Tuttle. He was a lifelong resident of the Lakes Region and was a self-employed mechanic.

Shawn was a member of the Belknap Snowmobilers. He enjoyed camping, hiking, snowmobiling, fishing and hunting. He was an outdoors man.

Shawn is survived by a son, Ryan B. Tuttle, and a daughter, Brandy Tuttle, both of Gilford; his companion of thirteen years, Lisa Ardinger, of Gilford; a stepson, Heath Fleming, and a stepdaughter, Heather Fleming, both of Laconia; three step grandchildren, Anthony Bombard, Savanna Bombard and Caleb Vertigars; his mother, Sheila Jenot, and her husband, Lyman, of Belmont; his brother, Mark J. Tuttle , of Richmond, Maine; a sister, Starr lyn Blaisdell, of Belmont; two nephews, Jonathan Tuttle and Paul Tuttle; a niece, Nina Blaisdell; his maternal grandmother, Leah Tuttle, of Gilford; his paternal grandparents and many cousins. Shawn was predeceased by his father, Leslie Strout, and by his maternal grandfather, Alfonso Tuttle, who died in July 2008.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 from 5:00-7:00PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H. followed by a Funeral Service at 7:00PM also at the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations (to assist the family) may be sent to the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H. 03246.
