Meredith-----C. Leo Shaulis, 87, of Meredith, died on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at the Golden View Health Care Center.

Leo was born March 10, 1921 in South Boston, MA. , the son of Joseph and Mary (Jakubauskis) Shaulis.

Leo has been a resident of Laconia/ Meredith for the past eighteen years coming from Chicago, Illinois. He served in the US Navy on the North Carolina during WWII. He worked for the Southern Illinois Rail Road as an office clerk and dock worker for many years before retirement in 1982.

Leo was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church of Laconia. He was a member of the VFW Post 1670 of Laconia and the American Legion Wilkins-Smith Post #1 of Laconia.

Leo is survived by a son, Michael C. Shaulis of Florida and Eric Anderson of Belmont thought of also as his son; three daughters, Lydia A. Johnson of Meredith, Catherine L. Shaulis of Dover and Lynn G. Browher of Laconia; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Monday December 29, 2008 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia, N.H. on Monday December 29, 2008 at 11:30AM., and the Rev. Adrien Longchamps pastor of the church will be the celebrant.

Spring burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia, N.H.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to New Hampshire Veterans Home 139 Winter Street Tilton, N.H. 03276.
