Joan E. Rand Laconia-----Joan E. Rand, 61, of 227 Pine Street, Ext., died at her home on Tuesday, December 23, 2008. Mrs. Rand was born April 2, 1947 in Gilford, N.H. the daughter of Arthur and Mary Levoy Valliere. She was a lifelong resident of the Lakes Region and was employed at the Lakes Region General Hospital for over thirty years, retiring in 2003. Mrs. Rand is survived by her husband, David W. Rand, of Laconia; two daughters, Lynn Monier of Laconia and Anne Morrissette of Gilford; four grandchildren, Tyler Morrissette, Kendall Morrissette, Madison Monier and Mckenzie Monier; a brother, John Valliere, of Laconia; a sister, Daisy Valliere, of Gilford; three nieces; four nephews and her former husband, Fernand Morency, of Laconia. Mrs. Rand was predeceased by two sisters, Jessie Hurd and Carolyn Williams. There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at 11:00AM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association of NH, 20 Warren Street, Suite 4, Concord, NH 03301 Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H. is in charge of the arrangements. |
