Wayne R. Whitcomb

Meredith-----Wayne R. Whitcomb, 51, of 388 Daniel Webster Highway, died at his home on Tuesday, December 26, 2006.

         Mr. Whitcomb was born January 22, 1955 in Whitefield, NH, the son of  Roger and Joyce (Tucker) Whitcomb.

         Mr. Whitcomb lived in Littleton, NH before moving to the Lakes Region thirty-six years ago.  He graduated from Laconia High School in 1973 and attended the New Hampshire Vocational-Technical College for two years.   

         Mr. Whitcomb was a licensed electrician and was employed at Giguere Electric and other local electrical companies.  He was also a Wildlife Control Operator.

         Mr. Whitcomb was a hunter, trapper and fisherman and was an avid outdoorsman.  He was a member of the Trappers Association and enjoyed fixing and restoring motorcycles.

         Mr. Whitcomb was a loving son, brother, uncle and nephew.  He is survived by

his mother, Joyce Whitcomb, of Franklin, NH; three sisters, Diane Avery of Concord, NH and Linda Whitcomb and Susan Whitcomb both of Denver, CO; a nephew, Stephen Avery, of Concord, NH and a niece, Jennifer Stanley, of Denver, CO.  He was predeceased by his father, Roger Whitcomb.

         There will be no calling hours.

         A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2007 at 2PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

         Rev. Stephen Neill, Pastor of the first Baptist Church, Meredith, NH will officiate.

         In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to NH Trapper’s Association, c/o Mike Kazak, 72 Riverview Dr., Charlestown, NH 03603,  N. H. Fish & Game Dept., 11 Hazen Dr., Concord, NH 03301 or to the Society for the Protection of NH Forests, 54 Portsmouth Street, Concord, NH 03301.

         Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH is in charge of the arrangements.
