Virginia Jahnle

Gilmanton Iron Works, NH-----Virginia Jahnle, 93, formerly of High Street,  Gilmanton Iron Works, died at the Seaview Retreat in Rowley, Massachusetts on Friday, December 8, 2006.  She was the widow of Carl Jahnle who died in 1975.

         Mrs. Jahnle was born December 25, 1912 in Center Ossipee, NH the daughter of Bartley and Cora (St. John) Carleton.  She lived in Woburn, MA for several years before moving back to New Hampshire in 1951.

         Mrs. Jahnle was employed at the Village Store in Gilmanton Iron Works for nineteen years, retiring in 1970.  She was a member of the United Church of Gilmanton Iron Works and was a member of the Church’s Ladies Aid.  She was also a member of Eastern Star, Alton #47 and a member of the Garden Club of Gilmanton Iron Works.

         Survivors include her daughter, Judith MacPherson, and her husband,  Ronald E., of Amesbury, MA; her stepson,  Carl Jahnle, Jr., and his wife, Sheila, of Nashua, N.H; her stepdaughter, Isabelle Jahnle; four grandchildren; Ronald MacPherson, Jr. of Lowell, MA, Rhonda Maserian and her husband, Lee, of Boxford, MA, Debra Vetrano and her husband, Frank, of Gilford, N.H, and Jodi O'Connor and her husband, Timothy, of Merrimack, MA; ten great grandchildren, Jenna, Kayla and Jay Maserian, Craig, Katie, and Kevin MacPherson, Jessica and Michael Vetrano and Meghan and Danny O'Connor; three nieces, Irene LeGendre, Janice Wagenfeld and June Palmer; her late husband’s niece and family, Gerald, Georgie and Conrad Edwards and her long time beloved friends and caretakers, Vincent and Tammy Baiocchetti,  Brenda McBride, and Don and Whinnie Alden of Gilmanton Iron Works, N.H.

It was Mrs. Jahnle’s wishes that there be no calling hours or funeral service.

Spring burial will be in the family lot in Grant Cemetery, Center Ossipee, NH.
