Phylis E. Laramie

Laconia-----Phylis E. Laramie, 88, of 765 Union Avenue died at her home on Wednesday, December 21, 2005. Mrs. Laramie was the widow of Armand J. Laramie who died in 1970.

Mrs. Laramie was born December 24, 1916, in Laconia, NH, the daughter of Philip and Mabel (Brown) Burke. She was a lifetime resident of Laconia and was employed at the Laconia State School for many years.

Mrs. Laramie was a volunteer at the Laconia Salvation Army Thrift Store for many years. She was also involved with the Foster Grandparents Program at Pleasant Street School and Elm Street School. She enjoyed making crafts.
Survivors include her children, Pappy Laramie and his wife, Linda, of Belmont; Ron Laramie and his wife, Linda, of Laconia, Mike Laramie and his wife, Sue, of Laconia, Norman Laramie, of Laconia, Nerada Prescott and her husband, Donald, of Meredith, Sherry Pickel and her husband, Tom, of Meredith, Barbara MacDonald and her husband, Bill, of Ashland and, Gail Lindholm and her husband, Gary, of North Carolina; many grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a great granddaughter, McKenzie Paquet, and by two brothers and two sisters.

There will be no calling hours.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, NH on Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at 11:00AM.

Spring burial will be in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Armand J. Laramie Babe Ruth League, c/o Hayden McLauglain, 51 Belknap Mt. Road, Gilford, NH 03249 or to the St. Vincent DePaul Society, PO Box 6123, Lakeport, NH 03247.
