Elsie K. Sneathen

Laconia-----Elsie K. Sneathen, 95, of Woodside, The Taylor Community, and formerly of 28 Gould Avenue, Meredith, died at her home on Saturday, August 22, 2009.

Mrs. Sneathen was born July 14, 1914 in Germany, the daughter of Paul and Reginia (Herden) Klingberg. She lived in East Norton, Pennsylvania before moving to Laconia in 1998.

Mrs. Sneathen had been a cook at an elementary school for several years, retiring in 1962. She was a member of the Meredith Congregational Church, the 50 Plus Club, the Meredith Garden Club and a member of the bowling team at Funspot.

Mrs. Sneathen is survived by a son, William B. Sneathen, Jr. of Vineland, New Jersey; a daughter, Patricia A. Hall, of Meredith, N.H.; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sneathen was predeceased by her husband, William Bond Sneathen, Sr., in 1980.

There will be no calling hours.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at 2:30PM at the Meredith Congregational Church, 4 Highland Street, Meredith, N.H. Rev. Dr. Russell Rowland, pastor of the Church, will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Taylor Home Community Sunshine Fund, 435 Union Avenue, Laconia, N. H. 03246.
