Gilford-----William James Schumann, 50, of  40 Varney Point Road Right, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Saturday,  August  2, 2008.

Mr. Schumann was born October 12, 1957 in Hartford, Conn., the son of Robert O. and M. Catherine ( Leslie) Schumann.  He lived in East Windsor, Conn. for several years where he was a landscaper in the East Windsor area.  Mr. Schumann moved to Gilford two years ago and was employed in the construction business.

Survivors include a son, Derek Schumann;  one grandchild;  three brothers, Robert L. Schumann, Peter D. Schumann and Philip S. Schumann;  two sisters, Mary Shaw and Anna Lynn Rothberg and three nephews and four nieces.

There will be no calling hours.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Connecticut.

Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Windsor Locks, Conn.
