Alton Bay----Ross A. Craigie, 42, of Alton Bay and formerly a longtime Laconia resident, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Wednesday, August 20, 2008.

Ross was born September 5, 1965 in Laconia, N.H., the son of Harold R. and Edith F. (Langley) Craigie. Ross was a graduate of Laconia High School. Ross is survived by his wife, Diana (Publicover) Craigie, a son, Connor Craigie and a daughter, Alyssa Craigie, all of Alton Bay; his mother, Edith F. (Langley) Craigie, of Laconia; two brothers, Raymond S. Craigie of Belmont and Jeffrey L. Craigie of Brockton, Mass. He was predeceased by his father, Harold R. Craigie, in 2003.

He was a lifetime resident of the Lakes Region where he meticulously created masterpieces in finish carpentry. His free time was filled with family, friends and laughter. Above all others, he loved his wife, Diana, and his children, Connor and Alyssa. Ross shared his joy of life, sense of humor and generous spirit with both of his children. He loved sharing new experiences with them and watching them grow and learn – whether it was an examination of the bugs in the backyard, a first run down the slopes at Gunstock or family trips to the ocean. They provided him a constant source of love and delight. He will be missed by all who knew him.

There will be no calling hours.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 25, 2008 at 11:00AM
in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Connor & Alyssa Craigie Trust Fund c/o Laconia Savings Bank, 62 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H. 03246.
