Laconia---Ida L. Bradshaw, 89, of 30 County Drive, died at the Belknap County Nursing Home Friday August 15, 2008. She was the widow of John Thomas Bradshaw in 1988.

Ida was born, March 13, 1919 in Centralia, Oklahoma, the daughter of James and Nancy (McCollom) Kelley. She grew up in New Mexico and Texas and had been a resident of Laconia since 1998 coming from Elmagordo, New Mexico.

Ida was employed as a payroll clerk for the US Army for many years.

Ida was a member of the Episcopal Church in New Mexico and Texas. She also was a volunteer from the Brownies and Girl Scouts and was a member of the NCO Wives on a number of army posts.

Survivors include a daughter Marjorie S. Gilbert of Laconia; 2 grandsons Thomas O. Gilbert of Concord and Ryan S. Gilbert of Brooklyn, N.Y.; several nephews and nieces. Beside her parents and husband she was predeceased by a son-in-law Rudolph “Rudy” Gilbert in 2005.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 18, 2008 from 2-4PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia using the Carriage House entrance.

Funeral and burial will be in Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, El Paso, Texas.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Belknap County Nursing Home, Activities Fund, 30 County Drive, Laconia NH 03246.
