Laconia-----Lucille R. (Godbout) Dow, 86, of 73 Gillette Street, died at her home on Friday, August 1, 2008.

Mrs. Dow was born September 22, 1921 in Laconia, the daughter of Ernest and Armelia (Levasseur) Godbout.

Mrs. Dow was a lifelong resident of Laconia and graduated from Sacred Heart High School.

Mrs. Dow was employed at the Citizens Bank for twenty years, retiring in 1989.

Mrs. Dow is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law,  Robert  Bruce Dow and Linda of  Gilmanton and John Nelson Dow and Sheri of  Laconia;  two daughters and sons-in-law,  Linda Dow Saunders  and  Bill  of  Belmont and Laura Dow Prentice and Ed of  Franklin; a daughter-in-law, Denise  Dow, of  Laconia;  nine grandchildren, Wayne T. Saunders, Aaron M. Saunders, Stacy Saunders Yates, Stefanie Saunders Gray, Candace Dow Cotnoir, Benjamin Dow, Ryan Dow, Misty Dow and Amanda  Dow;  two brothers Gerard Godbout of Laconia and Leo Godbout of Johnson City, NY; a sister Rita Faretra of Concord and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dow was predeceased by her husband, Robert J. Dow, in 1996 and by a son, James E. Dow, on January 27, 2008.

 Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 4, 2008 from 6-8PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at 11:00AM at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia.  Rev. Gary Kosmowski, Pastor of the Church will officiate.

 Burial will follow in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia, N.H.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, Inc., 780 North Main Street, Laconia, N. H. 03246.
