Marie C. Tyler

Laconia------Mrs. Marie C. Tyler, 97, of 195 Holman Street, died on Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at the Lakes Region General Hospital.  She was the widow of H. James Tyler who died September 22, 1986.

Mrs. Tyler was born January 14, 1910 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of Albert P. & Josephine (Bauer) Cooper.  She had been a resident of Laconia since she was two years old. 

Mrs. Tyler was a communicant of St. Joseph Church and was an Incorporator of the Taylor Home. She and her husband were proprietors of Tyler Press for many years.

Survivors include a nephew, John P. Cooper; several grandnephews and grandnieces.  Beside her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Paul F. Cooper, by a sister, Violet (Cooper) Gardner, and by a nephew, Robert S. Gardner.

According to Mrs. Tyler’s wishes, there will be no calling hours.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 24, 2007 at 11:00AM at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, N. H. by Rev. Gary Kosmowski, Pastor of the Church.

Burial will be in the family lot in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Hampshire Humane Society, PO Box 572, Laconia, NH 03247.
