Norma Louise (Crooker) Harrison

Gilford-----Norma Louise (Crooker) Harrison, 85, of Gilford, New Hampshire and Venice, Florida and a native of Braintree, Massachusetts passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia, N. H. 

Norma was born April 22, 1922 in E. Milton, Massachusetts, the daughter of Walter and Pearl (MacPherson) Crooker.

Before her marriage, Norma was employed as a Chief Clerk at H. P. Hood & Sons.  In later years, she worked for Manpower and N. E. Calculating as a bookkeeper.

Norma was active in the P.T.A. and the Braintree Women’s Club and its Glee Club for many years before retiring in Florida and New Hampshire.

She and her husband, Morris J. Harrison celebrated their fifty years of marriage and renewed their vows in 2000.

Survivors beside her husband of fifty-seven years, include a son, Allan W. Harrison of Laconia, N. H. and daughters, Nancy J. Harrison of Nashua, N. H. and Donna L. Kelly of Brockton, Mass. also four grandchildren, Staff Sgt. Leanna Lynch, Sgt. Peter Lynch and Spec. Daniel Lynch all of the U. S. Army and Jennifer Lynch and one great grandson, Aedan, of Brockton, Mass.

There will be no calling hours.

A memorial service will be held at the Gilford Community Church, where she was a member.  The date and time to be announced pending the arrival of the grandchildren from Iraq.

Burial will follow at the Wixson Memorial Garden next to the church.

Memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 12502 Pine Drive, Tampa, Florida 33612-9499 or to the Gilford Community Church, 19 Potter Hill Road, Gilford, NH 03249.
