Laconia-----Catherine F. Kelley, 76, of White Oaks Road, died at her daughter’s home on Wednesday, August 16, 2006.    

         Mrs. Kelley was born October 23, 1929 in Lynn, MA, the daughter of the late Thomas and Florence (MacEachern) Rafferty.  She was raised in Lynn, MA where she attended the local schools.

         Mrs. Kelley moved to Laconia in 1976 and was employed at the Laconia Savings Bank.  She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Lakes Church where she was the president of the Ladies Guild and a volunteer at the New To You Shop.

Mrs. Kelley enjoyed spending time with her daughters, grandson, and friends. She was a lifelong animal lover.  She loved to read and enjoyed gardening and travel.

Survivors include three daughters, Kathleen A. Kelley of Weirs Beach,  Colleen Kelley of Ctr. Harbor and Carolyn Kelley of Miami, Florida; a beloved grandson, Gunnar D. Hildebrand, of Center Harbor; a sister and brother-in-law, Claire and James Hosman, of Salem, MA and two nephews, Donald Turkewich, Jr. of Peabody, MA and James Hosman of Middleton, MA.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kelley was predeceased by her husband of forty-one years, George D. Kelley, in December, 1993; by a son, George D. Kelley, Jr., in 1969; by two daughters, an infant daughter in 1958 and Mary Ann Kelley in 1990; by a sister, Martha L. Haley; by two nephews, Charles Rucco, Jr. and Steven Hosman; by one niece, Janie Turkewich and by a cousin, Mae Grant.

         Memorial Calling Hours will be held on Friday, August 18, 2006 from 6:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

         A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on  Saturday, August 19, 2006 at 11:00AM at Our Lady of the Lakes Church, 50 Washington Street, Lakeport, NH.  Rev. George Soberick, Pastor of the Church, will be the celebrant.

         In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that blood donations be made in her memory to your local American Red Cross or memorial donations may be made to The Santa Fund, c/o The Citizen, 171 Fair Street, Laconia, NH 03246 or to the Willow Fund c/o New Hampshire Humane Society,  PO Box 572, Laconia, NH 03247.
