Claremont-----Blanche F. Howe, 90, formerly of Claremont and North Charlestown, died at Haven Health Care, Claremont on Monday August 7, 2006. She was the widow of Franklin A. Howe who died May 26, 2001. Mrs. Howe was born May 14, 1916 in North Charlestown, NH, the daughter of J. Frank and Gaylie W. (Call) Frohock.

Mrs. Howe was employed at the Sullivan County Nursing Home for twelve years, retiring in 1973. She attended the United Trinity Methodist Church of Whitefield and the Methodist Episcopal Church of Lakeland, Florida. She lived in Whitefield, NH and Lakeland, Florida for a number of years. For the past five years, she had been a resident of Summercrest in Newport, NH.

Survivors include two daughters; Gaylie May (Stoughton) Blake of Alstead, NH and Carlene (Stoughton) Wheeler of Sullivan, NH; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth F. Harris of Whitefield, NH, Barbara Conn, of Gulf Breeze, Florida and Eva F. Beane of Laconia, NH and several nephews and nieces. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Bonny (Stoughton) Garrett and by a brother, John F. Frohock, of Baldwinsville, NY.

According to her wishes, there will be no calling hours.

A Graveside Service will be held at the convenience of the family in Hope Hill Cemetery, North Charlestown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the North Charlestown United Methodist Church, c/o Mary Gray, PO Box 735, Charlestown, NH 03603 or to the Trinity United Methodist Church, c/o Pastor Albert Bunnell, PO Box 275, Whitefield, NH 03598.
