William "Boyd" Radford

Sanbornton---William “Boyd” Radford, 65 of 388 Philbrook Road, died at the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester Friday after a sudden illness,

Boyd was born August 23, 1940 in Forest City N.C. the son of John and Lola (Yelton) Radford. He had been a resident of Sanbornton for many years.

Boyd had served in the US Air Force for 21 years retiring in 1980. He had been employed for 13 years as a mail handler for the U.S. Post Office in Manchester and had been a 1st Student bus driver for Sant Bani School for 7 years.

Boyd was an avid Boston Red Sox fan as well as the New England Patriots fan. He also enjoyed his Ford Mustang.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years Linda Ann (Zousimas) Radford of Sanbornton; a son William B. Radford, II of Boston, MA; a daughter Susan English of N.C.; a granddaughter Grace of NC; a brother Lionel Radford of N.C., a sister Modene Carswell, of VA; many nephews and nieces; his father and mother-in-law George and Rita Horner of Laconia; his brother-in-law, Christos Zousimas and his wife Barbara of Dover and his beloved dog Oreo. Beside his parents he was predeceased by 5 brothers Robert Radford, Max Radford, James Radford, Spurgeon Radford and Foye Radford and a sister Louise Dillard.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday August 15, 2006 from 6-8 PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia using the Carriage house entrance.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday August 16, 2006 at 2:00 PM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Rt. 3 Boscawen with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Central New England Chapter 101 First Ave. Suite 6 Waltham, MA 02451.
