Joseph "Pete" H. Nault

Gilford-----Joseph “Pete” H. Nault, 90, of 231 Stark Street, died at the Concord Hospital on Tuesday, August 23, 2005.

Mr. Nault was born January 18, 1915 in Laconia, NH the son of Joseph H. and Marie J. (Picard) Nault.

Mr. Nault served in the U. S. Army during WWII. In 1942, Mr. Nault moved from Laconia to Gilford. He was a ship’s carpenter at Goodhue’s Boat Yard and Callahan’s for many years. Mr. Nault was a communicant of Our Lady of the Lakes Church. He had a dry sense of humor and enjoyed gardening, exercising, walking, skating and hockey.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-seven years, Thelma (DeHart) Nault of Gilford; a son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Lucille Nault of Deerfield; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Vincent Foden of Canterbury; four grandchildren, Michelle Cote of Pembroke, Michael Normandin of Gilford and Paula Langevin and Peter I. Nault both of Deerfield and ten great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Ben Nault.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 26, 2005 from 6:00PM-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Lakes Church, 50 Washington Street, Lakeport on Saturday, August 27, 2005 at 10:30AM. Rev. Francis Kelso will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in the family lot in Pine Grove Cemetery, Gilford, NH

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Hampshire Humane Society, PO Box 572, Laconia, NH 03247.
