Henry C. Marden

Laconia-----Henry C. Marden, 91, of 62 Winnisquam Avenue, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, on Saturday, August 6, 2005. Mr. Marden was the widower of Rita M. (Doucette) Marden who died in 2003.

Mr. Marden was born June 2, 1914 in Laconia, NH, the son of George H. and Mabel (Hilliard) Marden. Mr. Marden was a life time resident of Laconia and was employed at Allen Rogers Corp for many years. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII. Mr. Marden was a member of the American Legion Wilkins-Smith Post #1.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert E. and Irene Marden of Gilford and Richard and Diane Marden of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a grandson, Troy A. Marden, in 1987.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2005 from 2:00PM-4:00PM and from 7:00PM-9:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.

A Funeral Service will be held in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 10, 2005 at 10:00AM. Burial will follow in the family lot at Union Cemetery, Laconia.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Belknap County Nursing Home Activities Fund, 30 County Drive, Laconia, NH 03246.
